I was in The Grove the other night.
It’s this big outdoor shopping center in LA.
I was with one of my favorite clients and we were talking about women, dates, and how you should feel.
You know me: I’m all about feelings. I’m all about really getting in touch with my true feelings and figuring out who I am, what I want, and how I want to experience it.
So we were talking about something and he was telling me about this date that he had.
I asked, “On a scale from 1 to 10, how relaxed did you feel?”
I called this question “The Feeling Meter”. (Patent pending.)
So he turned to me and he said, “You know, with this girl the other night, it was maybe a four.”
“What was it about her that didn’t let you relax?”
“You know, it’s when we kissed…it just felt awkward.
Ah, the awkward kiss. How many of us have been involved in that awkward kiss? You know where the kiss just wasn’t exactly right. Maybe the kissing style was off, maybe you just didn’t feel the passion.
And that’s fine—but you need to check in with yourself before you move forward and possibly waste time.
It’s called The Feeling Meter. The next time you’re out on a date, ask yourself relaxed you feel with that person. Because that’s what it’s all about.
You want to feel like you’ve known this person for a long time. You want to feel 100% relaxed. You want to feel at ease and when you kiss, you want a kiss that just makes you just desire the person more.
It’s all about feelings. So start playing the feeling meter and start asking yourself how relaxed you really feel around the person.
Do you feel like you can be yourself? Do you feel like you can say anything and there’s no judgment? Do you feel like they’re really listening when you talk? Do you feel like you’re really connecting to them as a person?
Ask these important questions and you’ll revolutionize the way you date and improve the quality of person you let into your life.
